- Understanding of healthcare industry and provider
motivations.
- Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., health-related,
behavioral science). A communications or marketing focus
helpful.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Relevant work and leadership experience
in provider liaison engagement and relationship development.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Team Leadership: Experience leading a team of provider
relations professionals, setting goals, providing mentorship, and
ensuring high performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with
other departments such as Network Management, Billing, Operations,
Health Management, Legal, and Compliance, to streamline processes
and enhance the provider experience.
- Strategic Thinking:
- Market Planning: Familiarity with MVP service area markets and
competitor activities to help position the provider network for
success.
- Healthcare Industry Knowledge:
- Regulatory Understanding: knowledge of healthcare laws and
regulations, including HIPAA, ACA, reimbursement models (e.g.,
fee-for-service, value-based care), and accreditation standards
(e.g., NCQA, URAC).
- Reimbursement Models: Familiarity with different insurance
models and how providers are compensated (e.g., capitation, bundled
payments, pay-for-performance).
- Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring:
- Provider Performance Metrics: ability to track and assess
provider performance using objectives and key results, including
quality of care, patient satisfaction, claims processing, and
financial performance.
- Reporting and Insights: experience using analytics tools to
generate reports that provide actionable insights for leadership,
helping drive decision-making and improvements in provider
performance.
- Health IT and EHR Systems: Understanding of electronic health
records (EHR), telemedicine platforms, and provider portals to
facilitate communication and streamline administrative
processes.
- Relationship Management:
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to mediate and resolve disputes
between healthcare providers and the organization in a way that
maintains a positive relationship.
- Provider Engagement: Experience building and maintaining
long-term partnerships with healthcare providers, demonstrating
empathy, trust, and responsiveness.
- Stakeholder Communication: Skilled in tailoring communication
for different stakeholders, including senior management, providers,
and external partners, to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking:
- Issue Resolution: Strong ability to identify, analyze, and
resolve problems related to provider performance, claims, contract
disputes, and operational inefficiencies.
- Innovative Solutions: Think creatively about solutions to
challenges faced by healthcare providers, such as administrative
burdens, reimbursement issues, and care coordination.
- Strong Communication: Ability to articulate the needs and
concerns of both providers and the organization.

interaction Your key responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, training, and coaching the
professionals responsible for creating and nurturing strong
relationships with healthcare providers and practice employees in
their designated markets to drive engagement and behavior change
ensuring consistency across MVP Health Care's entire service
area.
- Provider Partner Delegation: assign provider relationships in
the market and delegate project responsibilities to PPL
Professionals.
- Strategic Planning: Align with cross-functional strategic
planning efforts to assess provider performance and develop
improvement initiatives. Collaborate with Regional Medical
Directors and cross functional teams to ensure alignment of
provider partnership strategies with business objectives. Coach PPL
Professionals in the development of their respective market plans
that incorporate relationships and strategies with systems, primary
care practices, and specialists to support quality, risk and
medical cost mitigation strategies in the network.
- Staff Motivation: Motivate and energize staff, fostering a
culture of positive change and clinical innovation.
- Work directly with priority strategic provider partners to
review, implement and track activities to hit key performance
targets and achieve network partnership goals including,
implementing programs and solutions to improve patient outcomes and
experience and reduce healthcare costs; develop workplans to
effectively project manage any initiatives.
- Analytics and Reporting: Ensure the availability of and
training on analytics, provider reporting, and data management
infrastructure to track performance and identify
interventions.
- Leverage data and analytics insights to lead in-person and
remote touchpoints with providers to discuss whole person health
and lifestyle medicine service line opportunities, performance,
cost management and APM/VBC models.
- Education Development Programs: support the development and
provide education and training programs for the PPL team, as well
as healthcare providers and practice employees on new programs and
initiatives.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: track the performance of
network providers in their market, ensuring that they meet the
organization's quality standards, and financial goals.
- Workgroup Leadership: lead and serve on cross-functional
workgroups to identify and address performance improvement
challenges.
- Build relationships with systems, primary care practices, and
specialists to support quality, risk and medical cost mitigation
strategies in the network.
- Issue Escalation: Manage the critical provider group issues
escalated by PPL Professionals, ensure timely solutions are
identified or decisions are made, and provide managerial oversight
of the execution of any action plans.
- Provide regular reports and insights on provider performance to
Senior Leadership.
- Support contracting and negotiations as needed by the Network
Management Team.
- Operational Efficiency: collaborate with other departments to
streamline processes, reduce administrative burden, and enhance the
provider experience.
- Implement technology solutions (like provider portals) to make
interactions more efficient and transparent.
- Strategy & Growth: support Sales and Field Marketing in their
PPL market for expanding and optimizing membership in service of
the organization's growth objectives.

various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective
goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for
the customer. Where you'll be:
- Reside in one of the following markets: Rochester, Schenectady,
Tarrytown, Fishkill
- Hybrid preferred (would consider Virtual depending on
candidate's proximity to an MVP office) w/ the focus on in person
external meetings with providers in the service markets.
- Ability to travel consistently throughout their designated MVP
service area in NY and/or VT with occasional overnights stays.
- Travel requirements 25-50% both within their designated market
and occasionally between markets or at various MVP offices as
needed. Pay Transparency

compensation and benefits packages. The base pay range provided for
this role reflects our good faith compensation estimate at the time
