Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) $3500 SIGN ON BONUS for 7am-3pm $2000 SIGN ON BONUS for all weekend shifts $2500 SIGN ON BONUS FOR OTHER SHIFTS Highland Care Center, a 320 bed Skilled Nursing Facility is currently seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our staff. Shifts available: Full-time evenings, nights and weekends. Base pay is $30.13-$41 per hour and evening and night shifts are eligible for a 10% shift differential. Union benefits (available according to Pay Rate) Medical Coverage including prescription coverage Dental and Vision Coverage Paid Family Leave Basic Short Term and Long Term Disability Pension Tuition Reimbursement Generous Paid Time Off Employee of the Month Safety Bingo Incentive Summary of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Assess and document resident progress in the medical record. Obtain changes in physician's orders as indicated by resident's progress or lack of progress Communicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors and Director of Nursing, as indicated. Administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures. Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to be sure adequate supplies of skin care products are on hand to meet the needs of residents. Participate in educational programs for residents and their family members relative to skin care when a resident is being discharged to home. Participate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned. Job Requirements of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Licensed Practical Nurse current state license in New York. At least one (1) year of Skilled Nursing experience preferred Must have a current/active CPR certification. Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
